Hi, Thanks to the Ulysses Club I now have a very full life and am surrounded by great people from all walks of life who are full of great stories and have become like a second family. I have an amazing social life on and off the bike and enjoy all of the social gatherings, rides, Odysseys, AGM's and events (I have a better social life than my children!) Mostly, I am looking forward to growing old disgracefully with my fellow Ulyssians.
What can I say? We joined Ulysses in 2008 and we have been having a ball ever since! The social gatherings of the Branch as well as weekly rides has meant that I have the opportunity to ride with an awesome support network and particularly they look after to me both as a novice rider (I think you don’t become a fully fledged rider for many years) and a single person when my partner is away. A very friendly group and very sociable. Thank you, Lee
G’day I would like to introduce myself. I am a female rider and love riding my motorcycle. when I moved to Perth from Victoria I decided I needed to meet some like minded people (motorcycle riders) and got in touch with the local Ulysses branch where I lived. They were a wonderful group that made me feel welcome. The more rides I went on the more I felt included and 5 years down the track, know what a wonderful group of individuals we have. They are always there if you need them and the rides are always a wonderful social event combined with sightseeing. We travel some great roads and visit some wonderful country towns. I have learnt so much of the Perth surrounding countryside because I belong to Ulysses. We also have other social events besides riding which make you feel like part of a big family. Which brings to mind the saying…..”Friends are the family you choose for yourself”.
Wait there is more….. Not only have I met such great people in our branch, there are times we join up with other branches from all over Australia for the annual AGM In have had a marvelous opportunity of meeting other likeminded people from all over Australia. These events are just so much fun. Then there is our state odyssey weekend where all the branches in WA make an effort to get together. If your jaws don’t ache from laughing when the weekend is finished then admit yourself to an asylum. Susan. #43631
After my wife passed away in 2006 I was in a state of shock, I didn't want to do anything. My family were worried that I was just waiting to go myself .My son suggested that I try motorcycling again. I was told about the Ulysses club and went for a test ride with them they made me so welcome that I decided to join. Since joining the club I've made so many close friends and really enjoy my time with them, on rides and social gatherings. Relatives are complaining that I'm never at home.
